Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked as a psychiatric registered nurse at McLean Hospital, where I collaborated with a multidisciplinary team in treating a diverse population of patients and psychiatric diagnosis.
I am wholly committed to providing personalized and comprehensive care.
My clinical practice focuses on consultation and treatment selection for a wide range of psychiatric illnesses. I believe individual freedom and responsibility play an important role in developing treatment choices, and I welcome your input.
Hope and the belief that it’s possible to recover are the foundation of the work I do. You deserve and can expect a full recovery.
Keep in mind that medications are not the only modality available to treat mental illness. Many don’t experience full remission of symptoms with the available psychopharmacological treatment alone. However, there is empirical data that shows the efficacy of augmenting medication with psychotherapy and lifestyle changes.
Simple changes aid individuals in regaining a meaningful life, even when recovery stalls. The goal is to gain control of your life back with emphasis on managing symptoms and building resilience. It’s important to consider ways to move forward and get your life back on track by developing support systems and building skills to cope in periods of crisis.
